Biography

Kasey Reynolds, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed her Ob/Gyn residency with the TriHealth Residency Program in 2011. She also completed a three-year subspecialty reproductive endocrinology fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

As a recently trained fellow, Dr. Reynolds is well versed in current technologies and leading-edge therapies, having been close to the pulse of the newest literature and treatments.

A prolific researcher, Dr. Reynolds has presented at conferences of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Society for Gynecologic Investigation. She also has published papers in such high-impact industry journals as Fertility and Sterility and Human Reproduction. Dr. Reynolds is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and board eligible in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.

In 2013, she was the only reproductive endocrinologist fellow in the country to receive a research grant from the National Institutes of Health. The research focused on the relationship between maternal obesity, egg quality and pregnancy outcomes.

Dr. Reynolds is trained in all aspect of infertility and gynecologic surgery. She has specific interests in nutrition and overall health effects on fertility, including obesity; antioxidant and supplement effects, such as Vitamin D; fertility preservation; and diminished ovarian reserve.

Dr. Katherine Ellis-Hernandez is a clinical and reproductive health psychologist.  She provides therapeutic and consultative services to children, adults, couples and families.  Her specialties include family building, cognitive behavioral therapy, sexual and reproductive health education, and play therapy.

She provides consultation to families creating families via third-party reproduction, adoption, and embryo donation.  She works with the offspring created via family building to explore issues surrounding disclosure and origins. In addition, Dr. Hernandez administers psychological assessments to gamete donors and gestational carriers.  She provides consultation and support to families across the US.  Her private practice is located in an integrative wellness center in San Diego where she sees clients for therapeutic services, groups and psychoeducational seminars.

Dr. McKnight is Board-Certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In 2012, she joined Houston IVF and was named a “Texas Rising Star” by Super Docs in Texas Monthly Magazine in 2012, an honor repeated in 2013 and 2014. She served on the national genetics committee for the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and has held several leadership positions in ACOG at the district and state levels. Her clinical interests and areas of expertise include in vitro fertilization, fertility-sparing surgery, polycystic ovary syndrome, and fertility preservation.

She received her Baccalaureate Degree in molecular biology from the University of Washington, graduating with honors. She then attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, with induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. Dr. McKnight completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. McKnight is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and member of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She has received many honors and awards including APGO Medical Education Foundation Scholars Award, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award, ACOG Future Leaders in Obstetrics and Gynecology Award, Paul C. Weinberg Award for Excellence in Women’s Health, and membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society.

Katherine Melzer-Ross, M.D. is a fellowship-trained reproductive endocrinologist dedicated to assisting families in their journey towards parenthood. Since attending her first birth as a medical student, she has always known that providing care to women is where her passion lies. Her special interests include early embryo development, fertility preservation, and preimplantation genetic diagnosis. She is also a skilled hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgeon and treats a variety of conditions that alter fertility, such as uterine fibroids, polyps, and anomalies as well as tubal and ovarian abnormalities.

Dr. Melzer-Ross was raised in Brooklyn and attended Stuyvesant High School. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Human Biology from Stanford University. She then served as a clinical cancer researcher for several years within the Department of Dermatology at NYU Langone Medical Center. Dr. Melzer Ross subsequently obtained her medical degree from the University of Buffalo, graduating summa cum laude and being inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha as a junior medical student. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Brown University/ Women & Infant’s Hospital of Rhode Island and was awarded numerous teaching awards during her time there. Her sub-specialty fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility was completed at NYU Langone Medical Center.

Dr. Melzer-Ross is board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and board-eligible in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. She is an active member of the American Congress of Obstetrics & Gynecology, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the American Medical Association. She has authored research papers in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her research at numerous national meetings.
