Biography

Dr. Toledo received his medical degree from the University of South Florida. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1983, as well as his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in 1985 at the University of Louisville.

Angela Thyer, MD another founding partner of Seattle Reproductive Medicine, is highly regarded for her expertise in polycystic ovary syndrome, or PCOS, in addition to her clinical and research interest and experience in the use of complementary medicine approaches with conventional Western medicine. Dr. Thyer has been awarded a number of research grants focusing on PCOS and its treatment with both medication and dietary changes. She has also completed research in ovarian aging and egg freezing. Her interest in the combined use of traditional and alternative medicine therapies is reflected in her practice, guiding patients to choose the treatment modality that is optimal for their individual situation, whether that is via surgical intervention, lifestyle modifications, or medications, both conventional and natural. Dr. Thyer also performs female reproductive surgery including laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, tubal reversals, and treatment of fibroids, endometriosis, and Asherman's syndrome.

Several years ago, Dr. Thyer recognized the increasing need for third-party reproductive services in Washington and surrounding states. She led the expansion of Seattle Reproductive Medicine's donor egg program, increasing the number and broadening the diversity of available egg donors beyond the Seattle region, the result of which has been reduced wait times for donor egg treatment cycles.

Angela Thyer, MD graduated from Duke University and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Oregon Health Sciences University, and her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Texas, San Antonio. Following her fellowship, she was on the faculty at the University of Washington. She has received The Award for Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Cincinnati OBGYN Society, The Gynecologic Laparoscopy Award from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and The Resident Research Award from the Oregon ACOG and OHSU Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is board-certified in both OB-GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Angela is a clinical social worker with more than 20 years experience helping people with relational issues, personal stressors, loss, communication working with individuals and couples.

She also has over 10 years of experience helping people to build and expand their families. This includes struggles for conception, miscarriage, donor egg, and donor egg recipients, as well as donor sperm and donor sperm recipients. Angela is also trained and certified to facilitate and score the MMPI-2 that is given to egg donors as part of the psychological exam.

Angela maintains a private practice in Swansea MA (Swansea Center for Psychotherapy and Joyful Breath Yoga) that also runs sessions of yoga therapy for infertility. Angela is a graduate of Roger Williams University, B.S. and Boston University School of Social Work, MSW.

Biography

Dr. Beltsos is Medical Director of FCI - Highland Park IVF and one of the managing partners of FCI. She is double board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI). She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Loyola University, followed by a fellowship in REI at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

She is the REI Division Education Director for the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency programs of Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Lutheran General Hospital, and St. Joseph's Hospital Chicago. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Illinois at Chicago.  Dr. Beltsos is the FCI Clinical Research Divisional Director and participates in a number of research projects and scientific publications. She has received numerous awards in teaching and has been honored as ‘top doctor' from Castle Connelly for several years. She speaks internationally, nationally and locally on many topics of REI and is chairperson of the Midwest Reproductive Symposium.  Her areas of interest include fertility in women over 40, PCOs, PGD and recurrent pregnancy loss. A relationship with patients that includes compassionate and dialogue is an important aspect of her care.
