Biography

Paula Mahan graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in 1978, and passed the California Bar that same year. Her first job was as a criminal prosecutor with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Eventually, she went into private practice with her husband, Kevin M. Mahan, and her first case was an independent adoption. That experience became the initial step in what has become a long and storied journey….a journey that has taken decades.

The early formative years were exciting times, marked by great forward strides, along with a few minor setbacks. Dr. Paulette Browne received her medical degree from University of Maryland School of Medicine and her residency training at Fletcher Allen Healthcare at the University of Vermont. She completed a two-year fellowship program in Reproductive Endocrinology at Rush-Presbyterian, St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago.

Dr. Browne is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology. Dr. Browne is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology.

Biography

Pavna K. Brahma, MD, joined Reproductive Biology Associates in the fall of 2010 after completing her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Emory University.

Originally from Michigan, Dr. Brahma earned her undergraduate degree in Biopsychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Michigan.  She then received her medical degree from The University of Michigan Medical School where she earned the J. Robert Willson award for excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Motivated by her interest in reproductive medicine and women’s health, she completed her four-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan Hospitals.  During residency, she developed strong clinical and research interests in polycystic ovary syndrome, endocrine pathways, and ovarian aging.  Her sincere desire to help couples achieve their dreams of parenthood motivated Dr. Brahma to pursue a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

 

Dr. Brahma moved to Atlanta to complete her three-year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Emory University.  During fellowship, she received excellent clinical training in in-vitro fertilization, minimally invasive surgery, and endocrine disorders. 

 

She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of many medical societies, including The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and The American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
