Sue Ellen Carpenter, MD joined Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine in 2003 following a distinguished faculty position at Emory University School of Medicine's Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Carpenter received her undergraduate degree Magna Cum Laude in Biochemistry from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts in 1979 and was awarded a medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City in 1983.

Following her medical studies at Columbia, Dr. Carpenter was accepted into the Gynecology and Obstetrics Residency program at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Carpenter went on to complete her fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1989.
Dr. Carpenter expresses particular interest in treating congenital anomalies associated with infertility as well as polycystic ovarian syndrome and endometriosis. She values being able to educate patients on their diagnosis and treatment options and developing individual plans for helping couples reach their goal of parenthood.
