I found out On march 5th that I had a miscarriage I was bout 7 weeks along.
My doctor told me that he wanted to do a Laparoscopy to see what was wrong and to
find out why I kept having miscarriages, this was my 2nd one.

The doctor perscribled Provera and said that was to force me to have a period to let
all the tissues come out and that after I got my period then he could do the surgery.
He also said that IF there was anything wrong it was probably fixable.

I started taking the pills on the 7th and I just yesterday started my period on the 21st.
But Ive been getting some pretty bad pains in my lower abdomen sometimes its a stabbing
like pain that I get on my right side and sometimes i get it on my left side as well kind of where
the ovaries are at. I can be fine with no pain and then all of a sudden it hits me like a ton of bricks.

I tried tyleonl and that didnt work then they told me to try ibuprofen i was taking up to 4 200mg tabs n they
were not working then they moved me up to darvocets and told me if the pain was too server to take 2.

Last night the pain was so bad I took 1 darvocet and it took bout 2 hours for it to kick in my husband was getting
worried an wanted to take me to the hospital I couldn’t stop crying alto I realize being scared and panicking doesn’t help
and sometimes makes pain seem MORE server than it really is.

And it doesn’t help that I have no insurance and not sure how I’m going to be able to get the surgery done.

I guess what I want to know is, is it NORMAL to feel that much pain after a miscarriage? my husband says that
its probably my body just trying to push all the tissues out and its struggling. I’m just so confussed and scared
right now I don’t even know what to think.

It is NOT normal to experience this much pain after a routine miscarriage. You did not mention if you had undergone any previous ultrasound during the pregnancy to confirm the presence of the pregnancy in the uterus. If you did not, your symptoms are suggestive of a possible ectopic pregnancy (outside the uterus and most commonly implanted in the fallopian tube). This is not a good place for someone in severe pain to seek advice. If you never had an intrauterine pregnancy demonstrated, PLEASE GET EVALUATED AT A HOSPITAL IMMEDIATELY, AND GO THERE IN THE MOST EXPEDITIOUS WAY (ambulance if necessary). While there are many other possible causes of pain in your side after a routine miscarriage, it is crucial in your case to rule out the most dangerous possibility, especially in the setting of severe pain unresponsive to narcotic medication!
