I recently went through my third miscarriage. I have not had a full-term pregnancy. There are no chromosomal abnormalities. An MRI showed no uterine abnormalities. Blood work came back negative for any of those usual suspects. My doctor suspects endometriosis, but I am still confused. Everything that I have read shows that there is no link between endometriosis and miscarriage. My doctor wants to do a Laparoscopy, but I am now uncertain if I should go through with it. Should I try this and come out empty-handed, or should I push for other testing?
I did have a hysteroscopy and D&C;, in which they found a benign polyp.

Dear Armatose,
I’m sorry for your loss.  This can be such a difficult process.  Studies have not shown a conclusive link between endometriosis and miscarriage.  It sounds like you have had a detailed work-up, althouh it is idfficult to be sure without reviewing all of your labs.  If you are concerned about proceeding with the laparoscopy, you should express these concerns to your RE.  In adidtion, you may wish to consider getting a second opinion.
Don’t forget to take care of your emotional health during this time, because it is just as important as your physical health.  You may want to consider yoga, acupuncture, therapy, stress reduction, relaxation techniques, etc.
Best Regards,
