Looking to the future my recommendation is to research all the methods of creating a family, and create a desired approach that feels right to you. Start planning the milestones for when you would like to become a parent. This includes, relationship stability or the choice to become a single father, career planning, financial planning overall life readiness. Then seek out role models of other successful gay men who became parents through the process you hope to pursue. Ask them what it is like and what is the best part about being a gay dad and the hardest also. Being a gay parent may still seem like it pioneer status but once you have a child you would be surprised how easy and comfortable it is. I have seen this in my own life as a parent of two children and also professionally helping over a thousand gay men become parents through gestational surrogacy and egg donation.
